PCMC Commissioner Directs Officials to Strengthen Monsoon Preparedness

Pimpri : Ahead of the upcoming monsoon season, Vijay Suryawanshi directed all departments of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to ensure disaster preparedness through detailed pre-monsoon planning and quick-response mechanisms.

During a review meeting held at the PCMC headquarters in Pimpri, the commissioner instructed officials to complete drain-cleaning works on priority, identify waterlogging spots, prepare flood evacuation plans, inspect dangerous buildings, remove illegal hoardings, and keep emergency teams operational. He also stressed ensuring uninterrupted power supply at civic hospitals, reserving emergency beds, preventing monsoon-related diseases, repairing potholes, and monitoring flood-prone areas through CCTV surveillance and central control systems.
