Four New Mahavitaran Offices Proposed in Ravet, Kalewadi, Hinjawadi
- MLA Shankar Jagtap pushes office division; gets positive response
Pimpri : Highlighting the growing strain on the power distribution system due to rapid urbanisation, MLA Shankar Jagtap has demanded the creation of four new Mahavitaran offices in Ravet, Kalewadi, Biji Nagar and Hinjawadi. He also urged the division of existing offices, particularly the Dehu Road branch, to improve service delivery and reduce response time for consumers.
The demands were raised during a meeting held in the presence of Maharashtra Minister of State for Energy Meghna Sakore-Bordikar, where key issues related to power supply, pending projects and funding constraints in Pimpri-Chinchwad were discussed.
Jagtap further instructed officials to expedite the establishment of an extra high-voltage substation at Tathawade under the ‘Yashada’ project, and to undertake infrastructure upgrades including new transmission lines and additional transformers to meet rising demand.
“Division of offices is essential to ensure quality service in rapidly growing areas like Ravet, Kalewadi and Hinjawadi. We are also focusing on increasing substation capacity and adding new feeders to avoid delays in power distribution works,”
- Shankar Jagtap, MLA, Chinchwad Assembly
