Funds Assured for Roads, Flyovers, Water Projects in Pimpri-Chinchwad
- MLC Amit Gorkhe reviews budget session outcomes, says funds and approvals received for key infrastructure projects
Pune : A development roadmap for Pimpri-Chinchwad has been prepared and several key demands concerning the city were approved during the recently concluded state budget session, MLC Amit Gorkhe said at a press conference on Thursday. He also stated that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had given a positive response to the proposals and assured support for development projects.
Addressing the press after the budget session, Gorkhe reviewed the issues raised in the legislature and the steps taken for the city’s development. He said special emphasis was placed on securing state funds for roads, flyovers and water supply schemes in the newly developed and extended areas of the city. The Chief Minister has also directed officials to expedite administrative procedures related to these projects, he said.
Several party leaders and office bearers were present at the press conference. Gorkhe further said that the Chief Minister appreciated the detailed presentation made on Pimpri-Chinchwad’s issues in the legislative council. He added that the appreciation from the state leadership has given new energy to continue development work for the city.
He said the priority in the coming period would be to complete pending projects and ensure balanced development across Pimpri-Chinchwad. “I raised the pending civic issues in the Legislative Council not just for discussion but to ensure they are resolved. Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, we will work to accelerate development in Pimpri-Chinchwad,” Gorkhe said.
