PCMC Cracks Down on Plastic Use; ₹31,000 Fine Collected

Pimpri : The Health Department of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation conducted a special enforcement drive against plastic use and unhygienic conditions under the K Regional Office and collected fines totaling ₹31,000 from violators.

Action was taken against shopkeepers and citizens using banned plastic in Indrayani Nagar and Nehru Nagar areas, where plastic materials were also seized during the drive.

Officials said the civic body will continue strict action against those violating plastic ban rules and sanitation regulations to protect the environment and public health. Citizens and business owners have been urged to follow waste management rules, avoid plastic use, and cooperate in maintaining a clean and sustainable city.
