Opposition Leader Demands Live Streaming of PCMC General Body Meetings

Pimpri : Opposition Leader Bhausaheb Bhoir has urged the administration of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to start live streaming of the General Body meetings to ensure transparency in governance.

In a letter to the civic administration, Bhoiir stated that important decisions regarding the city’s development and public funds are taken in the General Body meetings. Citizens should be able to see how their elected representatives raise issues and how administrative decisions are made.

He said that in the digital era, broadcasting the meetings live on the municipal corporation’s official YouTube channel or Facebook page would strengthen transparency and public trust in democracy. He also pointed out that civic bodies like Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and Pune Municipal Corporation already provide such facilities.

Bhoiir requested the administration to issue immediate instructions to start live streaming of the meetings from the upcoming session in the interest of public transparency.
