Two Detained for Dangerous Reel Shoot on Pune-Bengaluru Highway

Pune : Two persons have been taken into custody by Bawadhan Police for allegedly shooting a social media reel in a dangerous manner on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway, creating an obstruction to traffic and posing a risk to the safety of motorists.

According to information available, the reel was being filmed using a new car and a Toyota Fortuner on the busy highway. The filming reportedly disrupted traffic and created a potential danger to the lives of the persons involved as well as other road users.

After information about the incident surfaced through social media, Bawadhan Police took immediate action. Police detained Somnath Ashok Kedari, the owner of one of the vehicles, and Ajay Sambhaji Yadav, who allegedly carried out the filming using a drone.

Police have also seized both vehicles allegedly used for the reel shoot.

According to police, strict action will continue against individuals who violate traffic rules and endanger public safety in an attempt to gain popularity on social media. Police have warned that stunts, reel shooting or any activity obstructing traffic on highways will not be tolerated.

The action is being seen as a warning to those who put public safety at risk for social media attention. Police have also appealed to citizens to refrain from engaging in such dangerous activities.
