Pimpri Power Supply System Strengthened Through MLA Amit Gorkhe’s Initiative

PIMPRI : The electricity distribution network in the Pimpri Assembly constituency is being strengthened through a series of measures initiated by MLC Amit Gorkhe in coordination with Mahavitaran.

The works include maintenance of 22 KV feeders, installation and maintenance of GODs and feeder pillars, replacement of old LT cables, cleaning of DTC yards and arrangements for alternative power supply during technical failures.

Under the Nigdi branch, complete line maintenance of the 22 KV Prakashgad feeder has been carried out and two GODs have been installed. At the Pradhikaran branch, the 22 KV Telco, D-3 and Ruston feeders have been maintained, while three new GODs and 10 feeder pillars have been installed.

Old cables at Gurudatt Mandir, Honda Showroom and Godavari School have also been replaced with new LT cables. A 70-metre 22 KV cable has been laid to enable the D-3 feeder to receive backup supply from the Telco feeder in case of a technical fault.

Additional maintenance agencies, tools and equipment have also been made available to speed up fault-repair work. A dedicated ladder vehicle for the Nigdi branch has been approved and is expected to become operational soon.

“These measures focus on building a reliable and permanent power distribution system rather than merely carrying out temporary repairs. Our efforts will continue to address electricity-related issues across Nigdi, Pradhikaran, Akurdi, Mohannagar, Kalbhor Nagar, Shahunagar, Sambhajinagar and the entire Pimpri Assembly constituency,” Gorkhe said.
