“Gas Price Hike Will Trigger Food Inflation,” Says Labour Leader Kashinath Nakhate
Pimpri : Kashinath Nakhate has criticised the Centre and State governments over the sharp rise in commercial LPG cylinder prices, claiming the hike will directly increase food prices and burden common citizens.
Nakhate said commercial gas prices have surged drastically in recent months, severely affecting small businesses, canteen operators, hotel owners, stall vendors, workers and middle-class families. He warned that vendors may be forced to increase food prices to cope with rising operational costs.
Under the banner of the Kashtakari Sangharsh Mahasangh Maharashtra, workers staged a protest at Thermax Chowk demanding answers from the government over rising inflation and GST-related pressures.
He urged the government to immediately implement strong measures to control inflation and provide relief to citizens and small traders.
