₹80 Crore Property Tax Collected in 20 Days

  • 27,840 Citizens Avail Abhay Yojana Benefit

Pimpri : The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has received a strong response to its Property Tax Amnesty Scheme, with 27,840 property tax defaulters availing the scheme within just 20 days. The civic body has collected over ₹80 crore through the scheme so far.

The Amnesty Scheme was launched on March 1, 2026, offering a 90% waiver on late fees for property tax arrears if the full outstanding amount is paid in a lump sum for dues up to the financial year 2025–26. The scheme will remain in effect until March 31, 2026 (midnight).

According to Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi, from March 1 to March 20, a total of ₹80 crore has been collected under the scheme, and taxpayers have received concessions amounting to ₹19.15 crore. Overall, more than 5 lakh property owners have paid ₹830.05 crore in property tax so far.

The municipal corporation has appealed to remaining defaulters to take advantage of the scheme before March 31 and avail the 90% late fee waiver by clearing their dues in full.

Tax Collection Centres Open on Public Holidays

To facilitate taxpayers, PCMC has decided to keep tax collection centres open even on public holidays, including Ramzan Eid (March 21), Ram Navami (March 26), and Mahavir Jayanti (March 31). Centres will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm, making it easier for working citizens to pay their property tax.


The Abhay Scheme has received an encouraging response from citizens, significantly boosting tax collection. Property owners should clear pending dues before March 31 and benefit from the 90% late fee waiver.
