No Salary, No Diwali : Yuva Sena Warns PCMC Over Security Guards’ Dues

Memorandum submitted to Assistant Security Officer Pramod Nimhan; warning of agitation if dues are not cleared before Diwali

Pimpri-Chinchwad : The Yuva Sena has demanded the immediate payment of pending salaries and Diwali bonuses to contractual security guards working under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). A memorandum highlighting the issue was submitted to Assistant Security Officer Pramod Nimhan.

Contractual security guards are deployed across various PCMC offices, hospitals and municipal establishments, where they perform their duties regularly. However, with the Diwali festival approaching, the delay in payment of their salaries and bonuses has become a matter of concern.

Through its memorandum, the Yuva Sena demanded that the pending salaries of security personnel be cleared immediately and eligible employees be paid their Diwali bonuses as per applicable rules. It also sought strict action against contractors who are allegedly delaying payments and failing to fulfil their obligations.

Yuva Sena City Organiser Nilesh Hake adopted a strong stand on the issue and warned the civic administration and contractors against further delays.

“If the security guards are unable to celebrate a happy Diwali, we will not allow the officials and contractors to celebrate theirs either,” Hake warned.

He further stated that the Yuva Sena would launch an intensified agitation if the pending salaries and bonuses were not paid before Diwali.

The organisation has urged the PCMC administration to intervene immediately and ensure that contractual security personnel receive their legitimate dues before the festival.
