Fire Breaks Out at Plastic Manufacturing Unit in Chimbli

Pune : A major fire broke out at Polymark, a plastic products manufacturing company in Chimbli near Moshi, at around 10 am on Wednesday, triggering panic in the surrounding area.

Considering the intensity of the blaze, fire brigade vehicles from Rajgurunagar Municipal Council, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Chakan MIDC and PMRDA rushed to the spot. Firefighters launched a coordinated operation and managed to bring the blaze under control in time.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. However, a large quantity of plastic products stored at the company was reportedly destroyed in the fire, resulting in significant material losses.

The exact cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained. PMRDA Fire Officer Shantanu Gaikwad said an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
