Two-Wheeler Rider Critically Injured in Kiwale Accident

PIMPRI-CHINCHWAD : A two-wheeler rider was seriously injured in a road accident near Sai Dwarka Society in Kiwale, along the Pune-Bengaluru Highway, on Wednesday (September 23) night.

According to preliminary information, the rider was travelling on the road near the society exit when he reportedly lost control of the two-wheeler. The vehicle moved ahead suddenly, following which the rider was thrown into an open area across the road.

The rider reportedly landed around 25 to 30 feet away from the point of the accident and sustained serious injuries. Local residents who noticed the incident rushed to the spot and extended immediate assistance. The injured rider was later shifted to Aadhar Hospital in Dehu Road, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is reportedly critical.

The incident has also drawn attention to the road layout and safety arrangements near the society exit. Residents said the section has an open stretch where additional barricading or protective measures may be required to improve safety, particularly for two-wheeler riders.

However, it is not yet clear whether the road conditions or absence of barricading contributed to the accident. The exact circumstances leading to the incident are expected to be established after an inquiry by the concerned authorities.

Residents have urged the authorities to inspect the spot and take necessary safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the area.
