Adequate LPG Cylinder Stock Available in Pune District; Do Not Believe Rumours, Appeals District Collector

Pune : The Jitendra Dudi, District Collector of Pune, has appealed to citizens not to believe rumours regarding shortage of domestic LPG cylinders, stating that sufficient stock is available and supply is continuing smoothly across the district.

According to information received from LPG distributors and oil companies operating in the district, adequate stocks of domestic LPG cylinders are currently available, and regular supply to consumers is being maintained without any disruption. The administration has clarified that no shortage situation has arisen in the district.

The district administration and the District Supply Department are closely monitoring the functioning of gas agencies to ensure uninterrupted supply. For this purpose, district-level as well as taluka-level inspection and vigilance teams have been formed to keep a close watch on the distribution system.

Collector Jitendra Dudi also warned that strict legal action will be taken against any distributor found creating artificial shortage, charging higher prices, or indulging in irregularities in the supply of LPG cylinders.

The administration has also instructed that essential services such as hospitals and government hostels for students should be given priority in the supply of LPG cylinders.

Appealing to citizens to remain calm, the District Collector urged residents of Pune District to avoid panic and not fall prey to misleading rumours, and to cooperate with the administration in maintaining smooth distribution of LPG cylinders.
