Worker Murdered at Labour Camp in Bhosari; Accused Arrested

Pimpri : A construction worker was allegedly murdered at a labour camp located at a construction site within the jurisdiction of the MIDC Bhosari Police Station. Police have arrested the accused in connection with the incident.

According to police, the incident took place between 9 pm and 11:30 pm on March 9 at the Shankeshwar Sparsh construction project in the Kudale Vasti area. The deceased has been identified as Balaji Maroti Reddy Khandade (29), a native of Hungarga village in Mukhed taluka of Nanded district. He was working as a steel fitter at the construction site and was staying in the labour camp on the second floor of C Building.

Police said the accused, Pradeep Vitthal Gundre (31), currently residing in Moshi and a relative of the deceased, allegedly assaulted Khandade with a gas cylinder tank following a dispute. The victim sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.

Based on a complaint lodged by Aniket Vinayak Bhure (21), a case of murder has been registered at the MIDC Bhosari Police Station.

Further investigation in the case is being carried out by Assistant Police Inspector Patil.
