Cement Mixer Truck Crushes 18-Year-Old Girl in Pune
Pune : An 18-year-old girl died in a tragic road accident after being crushed under a cement mixer truck in the Susgaon area near Pune on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Anjali Shankar Salve (18). According to information received, the incident occurred around 5:30 pm on Tuesday when Anjali Salve was riding her two-wheeler along the Sus–Nande Road. When she reached Shivba Chowk, a speeding cement mixer truck coming from behind rammed into her motorcycle.
Following the collision, Anjali lost control of her vehicle and fell onto the road. Unfortunately, she came under the rear wheel of the mixer truck and died on the spot.
Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the accident has surfaced, which reportedly clearly shows the entire incident.
The accident led to a large crowd gathering at the spot. Local residents immediately informed the police, who rushed to the scene and conducted a panchnama. The body has been sent to a hospital for further procedures.
Police officials said that the process of registering a case against the truck driver is currently underway.
Local residents have expressed concern over the increasing number of accidents due to speeding vehicles in the Susgaon area. Citizens have also demanded stricter traffic control and action on the road to prevent such incidents in the future.
