Opposition Leader Bhausaheb Bhoir Urges Civic Administration to Act

Pimpri : Leader of Opposition in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Bhausaheb Bhoir has urged the civic administration to implement the long-pending scheme under which the municipal corporation would bear funeral expenses for citizens of all religions.

In a letter to the municipal administration, Bhoir stated that the proposal had already been approved through Standing Committee Resolution No. 15951 on April 5, 2016, and General Body Resolution No. 845 on April 20, 2016. Orders were also issued by the then municipal commissioner on May 2, 2016, but the scheme has still not been implemented.

He said the scheme would provide financial relief to economically weaker citizens living in the city and requested the administration to immediately issue directions to the concerned departments to implement it.
