Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne listened to the programme along with citizens and expressed his views on the messages shared by the Prime Minister.

Mann Ki Baat is not merely a communication by the Prime Minister; it is an effective platform that gives direction to ideas concerning the national interest and provides a national platform to the positive initiatives undertaken by ordinary citizens,” Barne said.

‘Vocal for Local’ Message Important Ahead of Festive Season

Barne said the Prime Minister’s message of ‘Vocal for Local’ assumes particular significance ahead of the upcoming festive season. He appealed to citizens to support local products, artisans, small entrepreneurs and Indian businesses and contribute to the vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Promoting locally made products would strengthen the local economy and create additional employment opportunities, he added.

Praise for Mission ShakthiSAT Initiative

Barne also appreciated the Mission ShakthiSAT initiative mentioned during Mann Ki Baat. He said the initiative by SpaceKidz India is providing opportunities for around 12,000 girls from 108 countries, along with more than 100 Indian girl students, to receive exposure and training in space science, satellite technology and STEM-related fields.

He described the initiative as an inspiring step towards increasing the participation of girls in science and technology.

The programme also highlighted the importance of providing opportunities to talent from rural areas, environmental conservation, encouraging emerging talent in sports, and preserving Indian culture and traditions.

Barne said Mann Ki Baat once again reinforced the belief that small efforts by ordinary citizens can collectively bring about significant social change.

‘Let Us Turn Positive Energy into Action’

“Through the spirit of ‘Sabka Prayas’, every citizen should contribute in their own way towards building a developed, self-reliant and empowered India. Let us transform the positive energy received from the Prime Minister’s address into concrete action for nation-building,” Barne appealed.
