MLA Amit Gorkhe Presents Vision on ‘Developed India 2047’ and Sustainable Tourism at Goa CPA Meet
Pimpri : Maharashtra MLC Amit Gorkhe showcased a forward-looking vision at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) West Zone–VII conference held in Panaji from April 8 to 10.
Speaking in key sessions on “Developed India 2047” and “Sustainable Tourism,” Gorkhe emphasized the crucial role of young legislators as “change agents” in shaping an inclusive and progressive India. He highlighted the need for bold and ethical decision-making to achieve long-term national development goals.
Focusing on tourism, he stressed that Goa should evolve into a global model for sustainable tourism while preserving its natural heritage. He also proposed a unified tourist circuit connecting Palghar to Goa’s coastline to boost regional economic growth.
The conference was attended by prominent leaders including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
Gorkhe further advocated green infrastructure and digital governance to ensure transparent and citizen-centric administration. He noted that projects like the Mumbai-Goa highway can enhance connectivity while opening global opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
He concluded by thanking the Goa government for its hospitality and expressed confidence in stronger Maharashtra-Goa ties.
