Nana Patekar’s Demise a Great Loss to Indian Cinema : MLC Amit Gorkhe
Pimpri-Chinchwad : MLC Amit Gorkhe paid tribute to veteran actor Nana Patekar, describing his demise as a major loss to both the Marathi and Hindi film industries.
Gorkhe said Indian cinema had lost a sensitive, powerful and versatile artist who was known for his authenticity, talent and patriotic spirit. “The passing of such a genuine and multi-talented artist due to a heart attack is deeply saddening. The film industry has lost an actor whose powerful voice and impactful performances left an unforgettable mark,” he said.
Recalling Patekar’s contribution to cinema, Gorkhe said films such as Parinda, Krantiveer, Khamoshi, Natsamrat and Welcome showcased his exceptional acting prowess and established him as one of the most distinctive performers in Indian cinema.
Gorkhe also said he had the opportunity to work with Patekar through Naam Foundation, which allowed him to know the veteran actor more closely. He expressed his condolences to Patekar’s family, colleagues and admirers.
