Man Stoned to Death in Bhosari; Two Arrested Within 24 Hours
PIMPRI : A man was allegedly beaten to death with a stone in an open plot behind a Protech company in the Dehukar Wasti area of Bhosari on October 3. Bhosari police have arrested two persons in connection with the murder within 24 hours of the incident.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Atul Tanaji Raghatwan, who allegedly died after being struck on the head with a stone. A case was registered at Bhosari police station based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s maternal cousin, Karan alias Ganesh Tanaji Karwande.
Police registered FIR No. 708/2026 under Sections 103(1), 140(1), 189(2), 190, 191(1), 191(3) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Following the incident, police launched an investigation and examined information gathered from the spot, technical evidence and inputs from confidential informants. Based on these leads, police detained Satkarsingh Satnamsingh Bhond (36), a resident of Chakrapani Vasahat, Bhosari, and Pawan Dhananjay Gupta (18 years and five months), a resident of Dehukar Wasti, Bhosari.
The police are questioning the arrested accused regarding their alleged role in the crime. Investigators are also probing the involvement of other persons who may have participated in the incident.
