“Youth Must Stay Away From Addiction, Focus on Future”: Shankar Jagtap
- BJP Yuva Morcha, Hindu Garjana Pratishthan hold awareness programme in Pimpri
Pimpri-Chinchwad : An awareness programme titled ‘Drug-Free Youth, Strong India’ was organised at Acharya Atre Auditorium in Pimpri under the joint initiative of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and Hindu Garjana Pratishthan.
The programme was organised as part of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’, with the stated objective of encouraging young people to stay away from substance abuse and focus on health, education and their future.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Shankar Jagtap said youth possess significant energy and potential, and that channelising it towards constructive activities can contribute to healthier families and communities.
He called for greater awareness among young people about the risks associated with addiction and urged participants to support efforts aimed at preventing substance abuse. Following his address, Jagtap clicked a selfie with the youngsters attending the programme on his personal mobile phone.
The event was also attended by former Pradhikaran chairman Sadashiv Khade, former deputy mayor Tushar Hinge and former corporator Sujata Palande, among others.
The programme was held in connection with the birthdays of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Anup More, former state president of the BJP Yuva Morcha and Maharashtra Pradesh Transport Cell in-charge.
