Anisha Mukherjee’s Lonavala Farmhouse Power Restored After ₹3,000 Dues Paid
- Electricity supply restored promptly after online payment; MSEDCL cites prescribed disconnection procedure
Pimpri- Chinchwad : Electricity supply to actress Tanisha Mukherjee’s farmhouse in Lonavala was restored on Wednesday, September 30, after outstanding electricity dues of around ₹3,000 were cleared through MSEDCL’s online payment facility.
The power connection to the farmhouse, registered in Mukherjee’s name, had been disconnected on September 26 following non-payment of the electricity bill. MSEDCL officials said the supply was restored on Wednesday afternoon soon after the pending amount was received.
According to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), the property has a three-phase electricity connection. The farmhouse is spread over a large area, with the electricity meter located nearly 300 feet from the main entrance.
Security personnel are stationed at the entrance, and meter readers are required to obtain permission from the caretaker to reach the meter, officials said.
MSEDCL said Mukherjee had paid the July 2026 electricity bill on August 5. Subsequent bills were generated thereafter, with the August bill carrying a payment deadline of September 4.
An SMS alert regarding the pending bill was sent to the registered mobile number. After the notice period ended on September 19, local MSEDCL officials reportedly contacted the farmhouse manager several times and requested payment of the outstanding amount.
As the dues remained unpaid, the electricity connection was disconnected on September 26 in accordance with the utility’s prescribed procedure.
The pending amount was subsequently paid online on September 30. MSEDCL said the electricity supply was restored shortly after confirmation of the payment.
The utility clarified that electricity connections disconnected due to non-payment are restored after the outstanding dues are cleared. In this case, officials said, the restoration was carried out promptly following receipt of the payment.
