The participants took on the challenge of skating continuously for 80 minutes, demonstrating endurance, discipline, determination and sportsmanship.

The marathon was held from 5 pm to 6.20 pm as part of an initiative aimed at attempting to secure world record recognition from three record organisations: Forbes Book of World Records, United Arab Emirates World Book of World Records and European Union Book of World Records.
