PCMC RTO Penalises 42 Out-of-State Vehicles
Special inspection drive detects violations; Rs 48,500 in fines collected in October
PIMPRI-CHINCHWAD: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Regional Transport Office (RTO) has taken action against 42 private vehicles registered in other states for violating motor vehicle rules during a special inspection drive conducted between October 1 and 19.
The RTO imposed a total fine of Rs 48,500 on vehicles found violating the applicable regulations during the drive.
The transport department has appealed to owners of private vehicles registered outside Maharashtra to ensure that all documents remain up to date while using their vehicles in the state.
Vehicle owners must carry valid insurance certificates and Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates, along with other mandatory documents.
The RTO has also urged vehicle owners to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC), as required under Section 48, for the process of changing the registration mark of a vehicle registered in another state.
The special drive aims to ensure compliance with motor vehicle regulations and encourage owners of out-of-state vehicles to complete the required documentation.
