New ‘MH 61 G’ registration series to be available; offline fee payments will not be accepted
PUNE: The Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) will launch a faceless online service for reserving preferred or fancy registration numbers for new two-wheelers from 12 noon on October 13, 2026.
According to an official press release issued by the Pune RTO, applicants will be able to reserve their preferred registration numbers through the official Parivahan portal at https://fancy.parivahan.gov.in.
The facility will operate entirely online, and the RTO will not accept reservation fees through offline payments at its office. Applicants can complete the registration process from home using a mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card to receive a one-time password (OTP) for authentication.
The newly introduced ‘MH 61 G’ registration series will be available for applicants seeking to reserve their preferred numbers for new two-wheelers. The initiative is aimed at enabling citizens to access the number reservation facility digitally without having to visit the RTO office for the process.
The Pune RTO has advised applicants to use the designated online portal to complete their applications and payment formalities. The information was shared through an official press release by the Deputy Regional Transport Officer, Pune.
