Following the counting of votes that began on Tuesday morning, results for two of the five constituencies have been declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pune Teachers\u2019 Constituency had attracted considerable attention, with Gawade facing a challenge from independent candidate Sachin Sanap, backed by Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, and Congress candidate Jayant Asgaonkar. Gawade emerged victorious in the three-way contest, bringing the electoral battle to a close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the result became clear, Sanap congratulated Gawade on his victory.
