Large quantities of domestic and commercial waste have allegedly been dumped in the green belt and set ablaze to dispose of the accumulated garbage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The intense heat from these fires has charred several young and old trees, with the trunks of many trees reportedly burnt beyond recovery. The damage has raised questions about the monitoring and protection of green spaces along the busy highway corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Air pollution and accident risks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The repeated burning of garbage along the highway has also raised concerns about air pollution and road safety. The waste reportedly includes plastic and other combustible materials, which can release harmful smoke and pollutants when burnt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thick smoke spreading across the highway could reduce visibility for motorists and increase the risk of road accidents.
