Although the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has provided financial assistance, uncertainty over the state government&#8217;s promised aid has left the families facing financial difficulties ahead of Diwali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The relatives, including the wives, brothers and other family members of the deceased workers, arrived at the PCMC premises while journalists were engaged in a discussion and shared their concerns. They claimed that no financial assistance had been received from the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The families also expressed confusion over the state government&#8217;s assistance. According to them, when they approached the tehsildar&#8217;s office to follow up on the promised relief, they were allegedly told that the assistance provided by the municipal corporation itself was considered the state government&#8217;s aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe backbone of our family is gone. Diwali is here, but we do not know how to run our households or secure our children&#8217;s future. Despite repeatedly following up for assistance, we are not receiving clear answers. What are we supposed to do now?\u201d the relatives said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Families to Approach Commissioner, Warn of Hunger Strike<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The relatives said they would submit a memorandum to the municipal commissioner seeking clarity on the pending financial assistance. They warned that if justice was not delivered, they would stage a hunger strike with their children at the offices of the commissioner and elected representatives from all political parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The families&#8217; allegations regarding company compensation and the status of state government assistance require independent verification.
