Liquor sales in the notified areas have been prohibited until 4 pm following revised orders issued by the district administration in accordance with the Bombay High Court\u2019s directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the revised order, liquor shops, beer and wine outlets, bars, clubs and hotels in the notified areas must suspend sales from midnight until 4 pm on Friday. Sales may resume after 4 pm, subject to the applicable licence conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Three-Day Dry Day Order Revised<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The administration had initially imposed a three-day liquor sale ban to ensure peaceful and fair polling for five Legislative Council seats\u2014three graduates\u2019 and two teachers\u2019 constituencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, liquor traders challenged the extended restriction before the Bombay High Court.
