{"id":3436,"date":"2026-10-11T16:25:21","date_gmt":"2026-10-11T10:55:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3436"},"modified":"2026-10-11T16:25:23","modified_gmt":"2026-10-11T10:55:23","slug":"mahesh-landge-seeks-nana-patekar-named-theatre-in-pcmc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3436","title":{"rendered":"Mahesh Landge Seeks Nana Patekar-Named Theatre in PCMC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MLA proposes cultural centre in Moshi\u2013Charholi\u2013Chikhali to promote arts and local talent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pimpri-Chinchwad :<\/strong> MLA Mahesh Landge has urged the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to construct a grand theatre and cultural centre named after veteran actor Nana Patekar in the Moshi\u2013Charholi\u2013Chikhali area to strengthen the city&#8217;s cultural infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Landge has submitted a letter to PCMC Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, requesting the civic administration to identify a suitable location and prepare a detailed project report for the proposed facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Highlighting the area&#8217;s growing population and the need for more venues for cultural activities, Landge said the proposed centre could host theatrical performances, musical concerts, literary gatherings, lectures and educational programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the proposal, the facility should include a spacious stage, modern sound and lighting systems, dedicated rooms for artists, rehearsal spaces, a small auditorium, accessible facilities for persons with disabilities and adequate parking. The planning should also account for public transport connectivity and traffic management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Landge has called for a joint meeting of the concerned civic departments to initiate further action. He has also sought a written update on the proposal and urged the civic administration to move a resolution on the project in the PCMC General Body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe theatre should provide a platform for emerging artists and local theatre groups.
