They have sought clarity on whether the construction was noticed by the concerned beat inspector, engineer and executive engineer while it was progressing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The residents have also questioned whether there was any lapse in monitoring that allowed the structure to reach a substantial height before enforcement action was initiated. However, no wrongdoing or deliberate negligence by any municipal official has been established so far, and the concerns raised by residents would require an official inquiry and verification of records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Action After Seven Storeys ?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents said the key issue is not merely the action being taken now, but why the alleged unauthorised construction was allowed to progress for so long. They questioned whether municipal officials conducted regular inspections of the area and whether notices or stop-work directions were issued when the construction was allegedly at its initial stages. According to residents, enforcement action against unauthorised construction should ideally begin when the violation is first detected, rather than after a large structure has already been constructed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Residents Raise Wider Enforcement Concerns<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local residents have also claimed that several other unauthorised constructions are allegedly underway in the area. They have therefore sought greater transparency in the PCMC\u2019s enforcement mechanism and questioned whether similar action is being taken against all such structures. Questions have particularly been raised over the alleged difference in the pace of action against smaller and larger constructions. Residents have urged the civic administration to clarify its inspection and enforcement process and take action wherever violations are established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest case has consequently brought renewed attention to the monitoring mechanism of the PCMC\u2019s building permission and enforcement departments, with residents seeking answers on how an alleged unauthorised structure could reach seven storeys before action was initiated. The civic administration\u2019s response and details of the notices and inspections carried out in the case would be crucial in determining whether there was any procedural lapse or delay in enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cThe Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is continuously taking action, as per the rules, against unauthorised constructions being carried out in violation of regulations within the civic limits.
