{"id":3289,"date":"2026-10-05T10:48:23","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T05:18:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3289"},"modified":"2026-10-05T10:48:25","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T05:18:25","slug":"dharitrichya-lekee-celebrates-womanhood-through-marathi-songs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3289","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Dharitrichya Lekee\u2019 Celebrates Womanhood Through Marathi Songs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Musical programme at Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium marks Classical Marathi Language Week<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PIMPRI :<\/strong> A musical celebration of the diverse expressions of womanhood in Marathi songs, titled \u2018Dharitrichya Lekee\u2019, was organised at the Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad as part of Classical Marathi Language Week being observed by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The week is being celebrated from October 3 to 9, 2026, under the guidance of PCMC Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi and Additional Commissioner Vikrant Bagade, and under the supervision of Special Officer and Marathi Language Coordination Officer Kiran Gaikwad. The initiative aims to promote, preserve and spread the Marathi language while creating awareness about its classical heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme featured singers Dhananjay Mhaskar, Amol Bawdekar, Yogita Godbole, Priti Nimkar and Anagha Pendse. Through a selection of popular and devotional Marathi songs, the artistes presented various dimensions of a woman\u2019s emotional world, including motherhood, affection, love, devotion, achievement, self-respect and inner strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme opened with \u2018Jai Sharade Vagishwari\u2019, written by Shanta Shelke, invoking Goddess Saraswati. This was followed by songs portraying devotion, motherhood and the strength of women. \u2018Kausalyencha Ram Bai\u2019 highlighted devotion, while the lullaby \u2018Guni Bal Asa Jagasi Ka Re Vaya\u2019 brought out the emotions of motherhood and affection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rich devotional tradition of Marathi music was further represented through <strong>\u2018Majhe Maher Pandhari\u2019<\/strong> and \u2018Vithu Mauli Tu\u2019, evoking the spiritual legacy of the Sant tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme also took audiences on a nostalgic journey through Marathi light music with songs such as \u2018Tula Pahile Mi Nadichya Kinari\u2019, \u2018Lajun Hasane An Hasun Te Pahane\u2019, \u2018Tyachi Dhoon Jhankarli Romaromant\u2019, \u2018Navika Re Vara Vahe Re\u2019 and \u2018Ketkichya Bani Tithe Nachla Ga Mor\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adding a folk flavour to the evening was \u2018Jalimandi Pikli Karvanda\u2019, written by G. D. Madgulkar and composed by Sudhir Phadke, which evoked images of rural life, love and nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme also highlighted women\u2019s self-respect and identity through songs such as \u2018Amhi Jijauchya Muli\u2019, which connected the idea of women\u2019s empowerment with the legacy and ideals associated with Rajmata Jijabai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The immortal musical legacy of Lata Mangeshkar was represented through \u2018Bai Bai, Manmoracha Kasa Pisara Phulla\u2019 and \u2018Majhe Rani, Majhe Moga\u2019, written by Shanta Shelke and rendered by Lata Mangeshkar and Suresh Wadkar.
