{"id":3226,"date":"2026-10-02T22:28:40","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T16:58:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3226"},"modified":"2026-10-02T22:28:42","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T16:58:42","slug":"sir-objection-deadline-extended-to-october-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3226","title":{"rendered":"SIR Objection Deadline Extended to October 12"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>BLOs to collect documents from homes; special camps scheduled across Pune district<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PUNE :<\/strong> The deadline for filing claims and objections under the Election Commission of India\u2019s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has been extended to October 12, 2026, Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voters who received notices due to \u201cno mapping\u201d or logical discrepancies in electoral records need not visit tehsil or election offices. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit their homes and collect the required documents. Documents may also be submitted through WhatsApp or online facilities, where available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Special camps will be held at all polling stations in the district on October 3, 4, 10 and 11. Voters can verify their names, submit Form 6 for new registration, Form 8 for corrections and provide documents related to SIR notices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The administration has also urged voters to use the Election Commission\u2019s Voter Helpline app for online services.
