{"id":3212,"date":"2026-10-02T14:35:20","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T09:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3212"},"modified":"2026-10-02T14:35:21","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T09:05:21","slug":"red-ribbon-club-holds-hiv-aids-awareness-programme-at-nowrosjee-wadia-college","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3212","title":{"rendered":"Red Ribbon Club Holds HIV-AIDS Awareness Programme at Nowrosjee Wadia College"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Session focuses on accurate information, prevention and health awareness among students<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PUNE :<\/strong> The NSS Unit A-034 of Nowrosjee Wadia College organised an HIV and AIDS awareness programme on October 1 as part of the introductory session of the college\u2019s Red Ribbon Club (RRC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aba Tapkir, associated with Sassoon Hospital, guided students on HIV and AIDS, with a focus on transmission, prevention and the importance of sharing accurate and reliable information about the condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session helped students develop a better understanding of HIV, AIDS and related health concerns. It also highlighted the importance of creating awareness and addressing misconceptions through factual information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Principal Prof. Dr B. B. Bahule addressed the NSS volunteers and stressed the importance of educating students about health-related issues and diseases such as HIV and AIDS. He said such awareness sessions play an important role in promoting a health-conscious student community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Modern Education Society trustee Prof. Sachin Sanap continues to encourage students and faculty members to organise initiatives aimed at promoting health awareness, according to the organisers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme was organised by student members of the Red Ribbon Club under the guidance of NSS Programme Officers Dr Komal Sawant, Dr Nitin Rode and Dr Sambhaji Warule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session also included an introduction of the RRC president and its student members.
