{"id":3194,"date":"2026-10-02T13:51:48","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T08:21:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3194"},"modified":"2026-10-02T13:51:56","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T08:21:56","slug":"dcm-sunetra-pawar-directs-assistance-for-families-of-diveagar-drowning-victims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=3194","title":{"rendered":"DCM Sunetra Pawar Directs Assistance for Families of Diveagar Drowning Victims"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>DCM Reviews Diveagar Incident, Expresses Grief Over Death of Eight Students<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PUNE :<\/strong> Deputy Chief Minister and Pune district Guardian Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar has directed the administration to provide all necessary assistance to the families of the eight students who drowned in the sea at Diveagar in Raigad district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pawar immediately contacted Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi, Raigad District Collector and District Magistrate Kishan Narayanrao Jawale, and Raigad Superintendent of Police Aanchal Dalal to take stock of the situation. She directed the authorities to ensure necessary rescue and search operations, administrative assistance to the families and prompt further action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Around 30 to 40 Class XI and XII science students from Alandi, Pune district, had visited Diveagar on a trip. Eight students drowned after entering the sea, reportedly after being unable to gauge the depth and water current. The bodies of all eight students were recovered during the search operation.
