MSEDCL officials said the supply was restored on Wednesday afternoon soon after the pending amount was received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), the property has a three-phase electricity connection. The farmhouse is spread over a large area, with the electricity meter located nearly 300 feet from the main entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Security personnel are stationed at the entrance, and meter readers are required to obtain permission from the caretaker to reach the meter, officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MSEDCL said Mukherjee had paid the July 2026 electricity bill on August 5. Subsequent bills were generated thereafter, with the August bill carrying a payment deadline of September 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An SMS alert regarding the pending bill was sent to the registered mobile number. After the notice period ended on September 19, local MSEDCL officials reportedly contacted the farmhouse manager several times and requested payment of the outstanding amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the dues remained unpaid, the electricity connection was disconnected on September 26 in accordance with the utility\u2019s prescribed procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pending amount was subsequently paid online on September 30. MSEDCL said the electricity supply was restored shortly after confirmation of the payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The utility clarified that electricity connections disconnected due to non-payment are restored after the outstanding dues are cleared.
