{"id":2862,"date":"2026-09-15T16:09:51","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T10:39:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=2862"},"modified":"2026-09-15T16:09:53","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T10:39:53","slug":"pune-metro-ridership-rises-21-on-ganeshotsav-day-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=2862","title":{"rendered":"Pune Metro Ridership Rises 21% on Ganeshotsav Day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PUNE :<\/strong> Pune Metro recorded 2,62,671 passengers on September 14, the first day of Ganeshotsav, registering a 21.40% increase over the 2,16,374 passengers recorded on the corresponding day last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">District Court Metro station recorded the highest footfall at 58,948 passengers, followed by Mahatma Phule Mandai with 51,533.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other major stations recorded: PCMC \u2013 25,429; Ramwadi \u2013 23,644; Swargate \u2013 21,099; and PMC \u2013 19,267 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Metro services are being operated at five-minute intervals during the 10-day festival, with extended services planned to accommodate late-night passenger movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passengers travelling to central Pune have been advised to use Kasba Peth, Swargate, PMC, Deccan Gymkhana and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Udyan stations as per their destinations.
