Pune :<\/strong> Special voter registration camps will be organised at all polling stations across Pune district on September 19, 20, 26 and 27 as part of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls, following directions from the Election Commission of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The period for filing claims and objections under the revision programme has been fixed from August 31 to September 30, 2026. During this period, citizens can apply for new voter registration, correction of entries in the electoral roll and deletion of names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several eligible voters could not be included in the draft electoral roll due to reasons such as being marked absent or migrated. Such voters have been given an opportunity to register their names from their current place of ordinary residence during the claims and objections period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizens who will attain the age of 18 years on or before October 1, 2026, will also be eligible to register as new voters. Eligible citizens whose names are missing from the draft electoral roll, as well as new voters, have been urged to make use of the special camps for registration, correction of existing entries or deletion of names, as applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special efforts will also be made to increase the participation of women, persons with disabilities, transgender persons, minorities and other eligible citizens in the electoral roll. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) appointed for the special camps will be available at the respective polling stations from 10 am to 6 pm on September 19, 20, 26 and 27. Booth Level Agents will also be present during the camps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizens have been urged to visit their respective polling stations with the required documents and make use of the special voter registration camps.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
