PCMC was honoured in the Gold category for Best ESG\/Green\/Sustainability Bond Issuer and recognised in the Silver category for Best Municipal Bond Issuer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PCMC has successfully raised \u20b9400 crore through municipal bonds to finance development projects across the city. The move has enabled the civic body to access the capital market directly and create an additional avenue for funding major infrastructure and development works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The municipal corporation has also focused on raising funds through green bonds, supporting projects linked to sustainable urban development. Its transparent financial practices, effective planning and contribution to the municipal bond market were recognised by ASSOCHAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne said the achievement marks an important milestone in PCMC\u2019s journey towards financial self-reliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cRaising \u20b9400 crore through municipal bonds has created a new and bold avenue for directly mobilising funds from the capital market. The two national awards are recognition of our financial planning, transparency and forward-looking approach,\u201d Barne said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The national recognition is being viewed as another milestone in PCMC\u2019s efforts to give fresh momentum to the city\u2019s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>IN FOCUS | \u20b9400-Crore Financial Milestone<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PCMC\u2019s successful \u20b9400-crore municipal bond issue has strengthened its ability to independently mobilise funds for development works. The civic body\u2019s green bond initiative has also helped channel capital towards sustainable urban projects. ASSOCHAM\u2019s Gold and Silver category recognitions acknowledge PCMC\u2019s approach to ESG, green financing, transparency and municipal bond mobilisation.
