Pune :<\/strong> A 12-year-old boy, missing for the past two days, was found dead in the backwaters of Valvan Dam on Saturday, police said. The deceased was identified as Yash Kuldeep Dauneria, a resident of Kaivalyadham, Lonavala. Preliminary investigation suggests he may have gone swimming and accidentally drowned after misjudging the water depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to police, Yash had been missing for two days, and a search operation was underway. Around 11 am on Saturday, during the search efforts, his body was spotted in the backwater area of the dam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Preliminary information suggests that the boy may have gone to the dam for swimming and is suspected to have drowned after misjudging the depth of the water. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed after further investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A report of accidental death has been registered at Lonavala City Police Station based on information provided by the boy\u2019s uncle, Dilip Ravindra Doneria.
