Pimpri :<\/strong> The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) carried out a major demolition drive against unauthorized constructions across the city. Under the action, illegal RCC structures spread over 530 sq. m. in Pimple Gurav (D Ward) and 1,545 sq. m. in New Sangvi (H Ward) were demolished. Several other unauthorized extensions and sheds were also removed during the drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drive was intensified following a review meeting by Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi, who directed officials to take strict and continuous action against illegal constructions and encroachments. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Trupti Sandbhor, with dedicated teams deployed in both wards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities said inspections revealed multiple illegal RCC structures and unauthorized additions across various locations, leading to demolition of several thousand square feet of unautorised construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStrict action must be taken against illegal constructions and encroachments in Pimpri Chinchwad. Officials should conduct regular inspections and also act against unauthorized street vendors. Such action is essential for public safety and planned urban development. Citizens must follow rules and cooperate with the administration.\u201d
