{"id":1788,"date":"2026-04-10T22:49:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T17:19:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=1788"},"modified":"2026-04-10T22:49:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T17:19:44","slug":"pcmc-police-fleet-gets-major-boost-with-50-new-vehicles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theleadernews.in\/?p=1788","title":{"rendered":"PCMC Police Fleet Gets Major Boost with 50 New Vehicles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Pimpri :<\/strong> In a move aimed at strengthening emergency response and policing efficiency, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police commissionerate has inducted 50 new vehicles \u2014 including eight four-wheelers and 42 two-wheelers into its fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey said the addition will significantly enhance the force\u2019s ability to respond swiftly to emergencies and improve overall service delivery to citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since taking charge, Choubey has focused on modernising and upgrading police infrastructure. At the time of his appointment, the commissionerate had a total of 319 vehicles, including motorcycles, cars, jeeps, light vans and buses \u2014 considered inadequate given the expanding jurisdiction and workload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To address the shortfall, proposals were submitted to the Director General of Police\u2019s office and the district planning committee. Through sustained follow-up, a total of 367 vehicles have been added during his tenure.
