He assumed office from outgoing commissioner Yogesh Mhase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After taking charge, Dr Chaudhari said priority will be given to speeding up key infrastructure projects in the Pune metropolitan region. He said major projects such as the <strong>Pune Ring Road<\/strong>, Hinjawadi\u2013Shivajinagar Metro, and town planning schemes will be implemented effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also said PMRDA will work to address the challenges of rapid urbanisation in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and surrounding rural areas.
