PMPML driver, conductor lodge counter-complaint<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The narrative surrounding the alleged abduction and molestation incident aboard a PMPML bus got a new twist as the driver and the conductor of the bus filed a countercomplaint on Thursday. In a reversal of roles, they claimed to have been assaulted by the woman and her relatives, with threats to their lives. The incident, initially reported as a harrowing experience for the female passenger, evolved into a legal battle with conflicting accounts from both parties involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 30, the 29-year-old female passenger lodged a complaint of molestation and abduction against bus driver, Navnath Venkatarao Dhage (28), and the conductor, Muja Ganapati Lutte (30). Both were apprehended and a case was registered at the Talegaon-Dabhade police station. According to the complaint, the victim was aboard a bus bound for Nigdi from Talegaon station when a verbal dispute ensued between her and the conductor regarding the ticket fare. During this confrontation the driver allegedly molested the woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the driver and conductor diverted the bus toward the depot to restrain her. Sensing danger, she contacted relatives, who intercepted the bus and rescued her. The bus driver, Dhage, provided a statement. According to him, the accused woman boarded through the front door and argued with the conductor over the fare. During the altercation, she verbally abused the driver. When the driver attempted to film the incident, she attacked him and bit the driver\u2019s hand. Subsequently, the driver proceeded to drive the bus to the police station. However, the woman called her relatives, who intercepted the bus and threatened violence against the driver and conductor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
